Sports Hall of Fame

The RGS Sports Hall of Fame is our way of honouring all current and former students who have represented their country in their particular sport.

A collection of photographs and items of sports kit are displayed across the walls of our Dining Hall, which current RGS students will pass every day during lunch time. The majority of the items displayed were donated by the Old Novos themselves and we hope they inspire the whole RGS community.

The idea and creation of the Hall of Fame was originally thanks to Jim Pollock (67-77 and staff 02-19), who launched the campaign for contributions back in 2009. The design of the hall was updated in 2024, spanning 35 different sports and showcasing over 170 items. It includes four Olympians - Boda Gallon (ON 1981-89 | Judo, 1992), Roger Brown (ON 1980-87 | Rowing, 1992 & 1996), Nick English (ON 1986-96 | Rowing, 2004), and Kate Waugh (ON 2010-17 | Triathlon, 2024).
