A last hurrah

A last hurrah

We've arrived at that point in the year when a lot of goodbyes start taking place. It's a time when we celebrate our students' achievements; not just across the past year, but throughout their time at the RGS.

The first of our goodbyes was our annual Leavers' Concert, when we welcomed students, staff, parents and special guests to see our Upper Sixth musicians perform for one last time on the Miller Theatre stage.

Highlights from the concert included compelling acting from Laura Peto and Cressey Osborne; superb singing from Jasmine Banerjee, Alex Parry and Cressey Osborne; lyrical playing from Will Stevenson on the euphorium and also from Lucy McCarthy on piano; and brilliant performances from Laura Baxter on cello, Luca Bennet on trumpet, Dan Edwards on guitar and Andrew Murtagh on drums. All these performances were delivered so beautifully making the evening very personal.

This talented group are sure to enjoy wondrous careers in whatever they do and we wish them well as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
