Amelia stuns judges at Tynedale Music Festival

Year 8 student and singing sensation, Amelia Lewis, has added more trophies to her impressive collection following this year's Tynedale Music Festival.

Amelia won three trophies and was awarded outstanding, both technically and artistically, for vocal solo classes at all three age groups, including under 13s, under 16s and under 18s.

She was then invited to perform in the Festival's Concert of Highlights at the Queen's Hall, Hexham. Amelia performed Bist du bir mir by Bach and was stunned to be presented with the Tynedale Arts Council Trophy for the most outstanding performance of the whole festival.

Amelia's super performances have topped off an excellent few weeks for the youngster as she has also won a place with the Samling Academy for 2018. A superb achievement considering the minimum age is 14 and the majority of students auditioning were university age. Amelia will also be attending a workshop and performing at Birmingham Cathedral later this year with the Chorister's of Britain Choir.

It looks set to be a very busy year for Amelia and we look forward to hearing more about her performances throughout the year.
