Carol Service rings in the Christmas cheer

On a rather mild December evening, our Symphony Orchestra, Junior Chamber Choir, Blue Blazer Choir and readers filled St George's Church, Jesmond, with glee as the annual Senior Carol service started the Christmas festivities across RGS.

The acoustics of St George's are fantastic and showcased the clarity and precision of all of our congregation as they performed their own arrangements of Ding! Dong! Merrily on High, Calypso Lullaby and The Angels and Shepherds. Accompanying the choirs were the talented symphoney Orchestra who excelled as well as giving a crisp and extremely tidy performance of Handel's The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba.

There was a rousing applause from the packed St George's for all the performers and organised as the final piece was performed.
