Ciaran's success at nationals

Ciaran's success at nationals

Year 11 student Ciaran McGovern continues to rise through the ranks in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo, impressing senior British coaches as he moves into the junior category.

Ciaran's rise was rewarded with a fantastic showing at the GB Taekwondo National Championships where he took bronze medal in the Junior -63KG category. This was Ciaran's first year competing in the junior category having moved up from the cadets, so he is competing against boys who are up to two years older than him.

That hasn't stopped Ciaran continuing to work hard and ensure he achieves top results both in the training environment and at school.

We wish Ciaran all the best as he progresses in the sport and look forward to seeing how he gets on.
