Friends of RGS Summer Walk

Friends of RGS Summer Walk

The Friends of RGS will embark on their next outing: “Walking with Friends” on Saturday 8th June 2019.

The walk will take the group on spectacular guided routes around the Lake District, where they will delight in the majestic fell and lake scenery.

There are three walk options on offer:

Option 1: Cat Bells Walk, overlooking Keswick, Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake, in part along Allerdale Ramble & Cumbrian Way (about five hours & roughly six/seven miles);

Option 2: Newlands Horseshoe Walk, with views down Honister Pass to Buttermere and Crummock Water (about seven hours and roughly 10 miles);

Option 3: Keswick town and Derwent Water for those wanting a leisurely day’s outing in the Lakes without the exertions. Keswick town offers an ideal Lakeland setting, with the added opportunity to take to Derwent Water for a cruise around all/ part of the lake.
