Inaugural Maths Fest

Inaugural Maths Fest

Our students are always eager to try and solve any Maths problem their teachers challenge them with, so we decided to add Maths to this year's House programme.

The inaugural Maths Fest took place this week with 70 Year 8 students working in small teams to solve problems for House points.

Thanks to the ingenious Maths department who created three superb rounds with students competing against each other and the clock! The final round saw the excitement levels reach a crescendo with the noise level at full volume (thankfully the competition took place in the Sports Hall!).

Huge congratulations to winning house, Eldon. We're looking forward to rolling out the competition to all the other year groups across the rest of the school year.
