Kit control shortlisted for Design Ventura 2016

A group of design technology students have seen their project shortlisted for the Design Ventura schools 2016.

Design Ventura challenges students in Years 9 to 11 (across all schools) to design a new product for the Design Museum shop. Students get the opportunity to develop design thinking, creative and business capabilities and employability skills,

The RGS students' product: Kit Control, was inspired by the idea of losing items of clothes. It is a circular disc which has eight eyelits (teeth) that items of clothing can be placed through acting as a visual checklist for your clothing.

The product was designed with students, teachers and sport participants in mind, those who may well misplace items that they need for certain events such as a sports match.

The RGS team will shortly visit the new Design Museum where they will pitch their idea to a panel of judges.
