Millie lands GB spot

Millie lands GB spot

Year 11 student Millie Robson has risen the ranks in fencing which has seen her earn a spot on the Great Britain cadet team for the Klagenfurt Epee competition at the end of October.

Millie, who is the first ever female fencing captain at RGS (she is also the youngest), competed at a British ranking event held in Manchester in September where she finished 12th. This finish alongside other results over the year has seen her rise in the British ranks to 15th, which has earned her a spot on the British team for the European Cadet Circuit competition in Austria.

Millie becomes the first female fencer from RGS to represent not only her country (Scotland), but also Great Britain at an international competition.

You can catch up on how Millie gets on in Klagenfurt after half term.
