Outstanding success for our A Level students

Outstanding success for our A Level students

Our students are once again celebrating hitting top marks following the release of this year’s A Levels, with 28.2% achieving A* grades and 86.7% achieving grades A* - B.

Of the 174 Upper Sixth students who sat their exams, a staggering 64 achieved all A* and As, the highest number the school has enjoyed in recent years.

12 of these students gained a full set of A*s, equaling the success of their 2018 predecessors.

Speaking about the results, Deputy Head Academic, Roger Loxley, said: “We’re delighted to see that in the face of all the changes made to the A Levels in recent years, through hard work and with the support of their dedicated teachers, our students have once again produced excellent exam results.

“It’s wonderful to be able to say that this year’s cohort has produced one of the highest percentages of top grades of recent years and we wish all of our students the best of luck for the future.”

A high number of students have already achieved their first or second choice at university, with more expected to be confirmed as universities confirm their places.
