U12 Rugby

The U12 rugby team have had a fantastic season thus far, including winning the Tait 10s at the beginning of the year (the first ever RGS team to do so!) and remaining unbeaten at 15-a-side. They have continued their impressive winning streak, winning three 7s trophies in just six days: the St Olave's 7s Festival, the Warwick 7s Festival and the Bradford Charlie Hodgson Cup.

The boys showed tremendous courage to beat St Olave's in the final of the St Olave's festival, coming back from a try down. They also beat Bishop Vesey's Grammar School (22-7) in the final of the Warwick 7s. After a 10-10 draw in the Bradford 7s final against RGS Lancaster, Phil Brantingham scored the golden try to win the tournament.

All the boys in the squad showed tremendous spirit and character during what were three very tough festivals! The boys have still to face two more 7s tournaments before they reach the end of the season: hopefully still unbeaten!
