U15s win Langley Rugby Festival in style!

There had been much anticipation at RGS for this third annual Langley Rugby Festival. Having experienced the high level of competition in the past, it has been earmarked as outstanding preparation for the Natwest competition and for the development of our younger teams before senior level. We are proud to announce that RGS matched the weight of expectation on them for success, in this tournament, by coming out as Cup Winners! There were 10 of the best teams in the country, some even from Scotland and Ireland, who took part this year and RGS first saw to Solihull with a commanding 59-0 victory. Sterner tests came from Bedford, whom they beat 10-0 and Brighton College who were overcome in a nailbiting 10-5 result! The Brighton result sealed the group win, but St Peter's Gloucester lay waiting on Sunday morning. Despite maintaing a ludicrous amount of territory and possession, the mistakes racked up and St Peter's countered in the dying minutes of the game to win with the only score of the game. RGS regathered their focus and saw off Dean Close (27-3) in superb style in the final! A great weekend, which will hopefully lead onto even more exciting achievements!
