    Bags

    For Year 3, you should purchase a RGS book bag from Schoolblazer. For all other age groups, books and equipment should be carried in an appropriate satchel/rucksack.
    New starters in Year 3 or Year 4 need to purchase a drawstring shoe bag from Schoolblazer. Colours for September 2018 are:
    Year 3 - red
    Year 4 - green
    Year 5 & 6 - not applicable.

    All articles of clothing must be clearly marked with the owner's name.

    Jewellery
    With the exception of watches, jewellery should not be worn, unless of a religious nature.

    Hair
    Hair should be clean and tidy at all times and, as a rough guide, should not touch the collar and be clear of the ears and face. Teachers may require students to tie back their hair for health and safety reasons in, for example, Games, Science, Art and Technology lessons.

    Bags
    Books should be carried in an appropriate satchel/rucksack, not in plastic bags.

    Junior girls' uniform

    Skirts/TrousersRGS pleated kilt.
    RGS grey trousers.
    Ideal skirt length is mid-knee, but to allow for growth, a range of 2.5cm (1") below the knee to 5cm (2") above the knee is allowed.
    Summer dressBurgundy & white striped dress to be worn in the summer term and also during warmer weather. In inclement weather, skirt or trousers may be worn.
    ShoesFlat, plain, black, leather/leather-type sensible shoes of either lace-up, slip-on or bar style, all free from contrasting decoration. No boots or trainers.
    CoatsStudents may wish to wear a top coat in addition to their blazer.

    Hair slides must be plain, dark brown, black, navy or maroon only. Ribbons or scrunchies should be navy, black, brown or maroon.
    Hair should be clean and tidy at all times. Teachers may require students to tie back their hair for reasons of health and safety in, for example, Games, Science, Art and Technology.

    Jewellery
    With the exception of watches, jewellery should not be worn, although neck jewellery of a religious nature may be worn under the shirt only, and a pair of plain silver or gold ear studs by those with pierced ears. These will need to be removed for Games.

    Books should be carried in an appropriate satchel/rucksack, not in plastic bags.
