    Hair
    Hair should be clean, tidy and of a natural colour. As a general guide, it should be worn off the face and off the collar. Teachers may require students to tie back their hair for reasons of health and safety in, for example, Games, Science, Art and Technology.

    Bags
    Books should be carried in an appropriate, subdued coloured rucksack/satchel and not in a plastic bag.

    Jewellery
    No other jewellery apart from a wristwatch should be worn below Sixth Form, with the exception of jewellery of religious significance.

    Ideal skirt length is knee length, but to allow for growth, a range of 2.5cm (1") below the knee to 5cm (2") above the knee is allowed.

    Shoes7-11Flat, black, leather/leather-type sensible shoes of either lace-up, slip on or bar style.No contrasting decoration, patent leather, suede or canvas. Soles should be of subdued colour. No boots or trainers.

    Hair slides must be plain, dark brown or black, hairbands must be dark brown or black, and ties and bobbles must be black.

    Nail varnish, false nails, nail art and make up (including fake tan) are not permitted below the Sixth Form.

    Girls are permitted to wear one pair of plain silver or gold studs in earlobes. No other jewellery apart from a wristwatch should be worn below the Sixth Form, with the exception of jewellery of a religious significance.
