Following the announcements made by the Education Secretary last week, here are our arrangements for the return of students physically to school this January:
Even though we are now in Tier 4, the Junior School are currently expected to be able to start in school as of the beginning of term on the Thursday 7th January.
We anticipate starting the term for all Senior School year groups remotely, from Thursday 7th January.
The current expectation is that Year 11 and Upper Sixth students will be allowed to return to school in person on Monday 11th January and all other years will be able to return on Monday 18th January.
Children of critical workers in Years 7, 8 and 9 as well as those who are vulnerable in Years 7 to Upper Sixth, may be supervised in school from the beginning of term, logging in to the same lessons as those working remotely from home.
These arrangements remain subject to the Government’s ongoing review of their contingency framework. As and when students do return to school, we anticipate continuing to operate under the same strict measures to reduce transmission as were in place last term.
