Senior House Music Competition 2021

This year’s Senior House Music competition attracted over 50 students from Y7 to Y10 who competed in five different categories. 

It was lovely to see our most experienced musicians playing, as well as students for whom this was their first performance in the Senior School and in front of a live audience too. 

The highlight was the Y7 and Y8 competition, where students were able to perform in front of each other – a rarity during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our adjudicators, Ms Bolt and Mr Fazlić, thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of the students and awarded the following:

Y7 Competition Winners:

Bobbie D – Brass, Riya M - Woodwind, Hannah McC - Voice, Eric C - Piano, Tyesha D - String category

 

Y8 Competition Winners:

Hannah Z- Piano, Jesdina D – Voice, Tanvi G- Woodwind, Anna W-String Category

 

Y9 Competition Winners:

Rory S - Piano, Hugo G – Woodwind, Jessica Y - String, Will K – Brass

 

Y10 Competition Winners:

Rob G – Brass, Amy Z – Piano, Lola F – String, Tara G - Woodwind

 

The overall winners were Horsley House with 44 points, followed by Collingwood with 35 points, Eldon with 25 points and Stowell on 22 points.
