Anna Blackall to Lead A-Level Business Studies at RGS

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS GAIN THE TOOLS TO LAUNCH THEIR BRILLIANT IDEAS, WHILE THOSE INTRIGUED BY THE WORLD OF BUSINESS CAN DISCOVER AND DELVE INTO THEIR PASSION – WHETHER THAT'S MARKETING, OPERATIONS, HUMAN RESOURCES OR FINANCE."

From September 2026, Anna Blackall, will join RGS Sixth Form as Head of our new A-Level Business Studies course within the successful and well-established Economics Faculty.  

Anna joins RGS from St Cuthbert's Catholic High School, where she has taught Business Studies. She brings more than a decade of teaching experience, including five years in Malaysia, alongside professional expertise in accounting and finance.  

After meeting prospective Business Studies students at our Sixth Form Pathways event, Anna said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining RGS. From the moment I stepped into the Sixth Form Common Room, I could immediately feel the warmth, vibrancy and ambition of the RGS community. 

"I'm excited to get to know the students, see them grow in confidence, and help them discover what they want to achieve within Business - whether that's launching their own venture or contributing to a UK, European or Global organisation." 

A-Level Business Studies at RGS is a dynamic and forward-looking course that prepares students for futures in management, entrepreneurship, consultancy and beyond. It gives students practical insight into how real businesses operate, alongside the analytical and decision-making skills valued by employers and universities. 

Students will also benefit from RGS’s network of over 10,000 alumni - Old Novocastrians - gaining unique access to expert speakers, mentoring support, practical advice and connections that help shape their early career pathways.
