RGS Senior School Student Council 2026

THE STUDENT COUNCIL PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN REPRESENTING STUDENT INTERESTS, FOSTERING LEADERSHIP AND ENRICHING LIFE AT RGS THROUGH STUDENT-LED INITIATIVES AND ACTIVITIES.

We are delighted to introduce our new Student Council. Comprised of Year 7 - Year 13 students, each member is committed to advocating for their fellow students' opinions and ideas, acting as a bridge between staff and students and, importantly, supporting steps to continually and positively shape our senior school community.

Reflecting on the vital role our Student Council plays at RGS, Headteacher Mr Stanford said:

"The RGS student council fulfils a really important function within the school of ensuring that the student voice is properly heard. Each year, they make some fantastic suggestions that help us improve what we do for the benefit of all our students.”

We are looking forward to seeing the incredible impact our new Student Council will have on our senior school community.

"The opportunity to lead the student council will enable us to encourage all students
to express their opinions in a diverse space." - Ayesha

"I believe that the student voice is one of the most crucial parts of a successful school,
as it allows for a wide range of perspectives to be seen and considered,
as each individual, unique, can be heard." - Dan
