RGS Rugby 150

We are delighted to share that the 2026–27 season marks 150 years of rugby at RGS Newcastle.

This landmark anniversary provides an opportunity to celebrate the generations of players, coaches, teachers and supporters who have contributed to the rich history of rugby at RGS. It is also a chance to reconnect with the wider ON community, share memories and stories, celebrate achievements and reflect on the role rugby has played in the lives of so many Novocastrians.

Throughout the year, a series of events and activities will take place to mark this special occasion. We will share further details from September onwards, but for now we wanted to ensure that members of the ON community are aware of the celebrations and have the opportunity to become involved.

In the meantime, if you would like to be involved in the anniversary year - whether by sharing your experiences, contributing ideas, reconnecting with fellow ONs or supporting the celebrations in another way - we would be very pleased to hear from you.

We look forward to celebrating this remarkable milestone with you over the coming year.
