DOMESTIC ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

We seek to appoint a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Services team in providing high quality, professional and responsive cleaning services to the Junior and Senior Schools.
The Domestic Assistant will join a multi-disciplined facilities team consisting of four caretakers, two maintenance staff, three grounds staff and twenty-two domestic staff.

Hours: This is a permanent, all year-round post and includes all staff training days. Normal hours of work are 4.00pm-8.00pm (20 hours a week) on school days during term time. During the school holidays, the Domestic Assistant will work between 7.00am and 11.00am (20 hours per week).
Salary: The full-time equivalent salary for this role is in the region of £21800 per annum (based on a 37.5 hour working week). The actual salary will be adjusted to reflect the part time working pattern and is equivalent to £11.15 per hour.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (Part Time, Fixed Term)
Required from January 2024 until 5th July 2024
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable support assistant to join our excellent learning support department in our newly refurbished Learning Support Base. You must have experience of working in schools, either state or independent sector, and a willingness to work closely with young people across all school ages to help develop their learning.
Knowledge of additional learning needs and experience of working with individuals who have specific needs would be desirable, though training would be given to support the specific requirements of the post.
If you feel that you can show initiative, resilience and good independent working skills then we would love to hear from you. You must be a team player willing to fit into a small and close-knit team.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) during term time.
Salary: The full-time equivalent salary for this post will be circa £25-28k gross per annum on the RGS Support Staff Salary Scale depending on experience and qualifications. As this role is fixed term, part time and term time only, the salary will be pro-rata’d to circa 8k gross per annum.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (EDITORIAL)

We are looking for a creative and articulate superstar to join our busy External Affairs Team to help us produce inspiring written content. The role will support all of our exciting activity across marketing, communications and events, bringing our archive to life and engaging with our alumni. Most importantly, you will help us progress our ambitious fundraising plans, to support RGS Bursaries and RGS Partnerships, ahead of our 2025 Quincentenary.
Within a broad portfolio of interesting work, our new Development Manager (Editorial) will project manage our publications including our alumni magazine, bring our community work to life in fundraising applications, support website and social media content and other activity for our 500th anniversary.
Hours: Working hours will be c20 hours per week (the exact pattern to be agreed), but with each day including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. In addition, there will be occasional out-of-ours work for specific events which is paid as time off in lieu. Please note: There may be potential to increase the number of hours per week for the right candidate. This is a permanent all-year-round role with the school.
Salary: The salary for this post will be in the region of c£32,000 FTE which will be pro rata’d to the exact working hours. Starting salary depends on experience and skills.
