Welcome from the Development Team

We would like to thank those of you who have invested in the Royal Grammar School’s future. Your support is transforming the lives of current pupils and those of generations to come.

Philanthropy supports a wide array of projects at the RGS, including the prevision of bursaries. We want to ensure that talented students from a range of backgrounds have the opportunity to fulfil their potential at the school. The Royal Grammar School Educational Trust (registered charity no. 508285) provides the main source of funding for around 70 means-tested bursaries. In order to fulfil the commitments that we have made to our bursary holders, up to £880,000 needs to be raised every year. It is our intention to double the amount of bursary places we hold, and expand the RGS’s positive impact within the region.

We would like to invite ONs back into the heart of our community. Whether you would like to donate to the campaign, become a more active member of the ONA, offer you support through careers advice, or are looking to attend one of our RGS/ONA events, or plan your own, please do let us know. We would love to hear from you and hope to have the opportunity to show you around the school. We are so proud of our students, our community, and our ONs.

Further details on the impact of our bursary campaign, ONA and RGS news can be found in our Old Novocastrians Association Magazine.

Without your support all this would not be possible.

With our very best wishes,

The RGS Development Team
